The University of Architecture and Urban Planning "Ion Mincu" Bucharest invites you to visit the exhibition "Start the academic year by reading - the 1 km lenght bookshelf".
In the ground floor of UAUIM Bucharest, from the entrance to the library located in the old body of the school, you will find a unique signal object.
To celebrate more than 20 years of publishing activity, the "Ion Mincu" University Publishing House has prepared a retrospective edition - which contains more than 500 publications accompanied by "8 towers" with panels illustrating the identity and activity of the school's research centers.
By exhibiting these university publications (author's books, influential translations, catalogs of international competitions, periodicals, essays) in a long shelf - almost continuously - we illustrate both the scientific and thematic concerns of the people in the school and the continuity of a research tradition.
Thus, we welcome new UAUIM students and those already enrolled, in all forms of education offered by our university, with the proposal to START THE UNIVERSITY YEAR READING.
The exhibition is present in the UAUIM premises between October 4 - November 7, 2022.
The books and publications on display can be consulted or borrowed from the Library, can be purchased from the bookstore or publishing house and - in situations motivated by study or specific bibliographic configurations - can even be ordered in controlled editions.
