The Spanish-Romanian Architecture Workshop took place this year for the sixth time consecutively, the organizers being The Ion Mincu University of Architecture and Urbanism and Escuela Tecnica Superior de Arquitectura de Madrid. The topic for the workshop of this year was The Influence of Tourism in Vernacular Architecture and Urbanism and the chosen place was the Gran Canaria Island, from the Spanish archipelago of the Canary Islands. The place was extremely illustrative for the proposed thematic.
The Ion Mincu University of Architecture and Urbanism was represented within the event by 3 professors, two Ph.D. candidates and 12 students. The workshop was sheltered by the Las Palmas University, where the Director of the Sixth Spanish-Romanian Architecture Workshop, the professor Javier de Cárdenas y Chávarri has founded, many years ago, The School of Architecture…
