The Faculty of Interior Architecture / Product Design
4th Year, sem 2, 2024-2025 | Compulsory Course | Hours/Week: 4P | ECTS Credits: 4
Fișa disciplinei:
FI-D PID-84 Proiect tehnic de design (2).pdf
Department:
Interior Design and Design
Course Leader:
asist.dr.dsg. Bogdan-Mihai Ioniță
Learning outcomes:
Upon completion of the "Technical Project" course, the student will be able to develop a comprehensive technical documentation for a design product using digital modeling software. They will demonstrate a solid understanding of technical detailing principles, materials, and manufacturing technologies. Furthermore, they will apply problem-solving methods in the design and optimization process, create graphic representations of construction elements, and collaborate efficiently in a team project aligned with industry requirements and standards.
Content:
The course is structured in three main stages: the development of a technical project for a chair (E1), a problem-solving type project (E2), and the creation of a physical technical documentation file (E3). It focuses on producing comprehensive technical documentation including product description, scaled plans, views, sections, construction details, exploded axonometric views, and technical sheets. The activity is conducted in teams during guided studio sessions, with deliverables submitted in both digital and physical formats.
Teaching Method:
Teaching is delivered through guided studio workshops focused on practical, team-based activity. It includes successive corrections and individual feedback, along with instruction on using design software and producing technical documentation.
Assessment:
Evaluation is based on three components: E1 (chair project), E2 (problem-solving project), and E3 (final documentation). The final grade is the arithmetic mean of these.
