Learning outcomes:
Understanding ergonomics and space saving issues.
Familiarization with the concept and design of furniture – the most important stage at the beginning of any furnishing and/or arranging project
- Notions of architectural language and knowledge about restaurant design (from the workshop project)
- Technical and artistic skills to conceive and design a piece of furniture in the restaurant
Content:
Advanced knowledge of the design techniques and principles used in furniture design.
- Knowledge and understanding of the fundamental elements of the interaction between the artistic and technical dimensions of furniture design.
- Knowledge of the national and European standards, norms and regulations applicable in the field of furniture and interior design, including those regarding accessibility, sustainability.
Teaching Method:
Practical activity (making a study model)- Theme presentations
Presentation with visual support, interaction with students
Assessment:
1. Summative evaluation (handing over the project and presenting it in front of the judging committee – way of presenting and supporting the project)
10% - one point ex officio (subject to compliance with the regulation)
10% - the way of presenting/supporting the project

2. Summative evaluation (handing over the project and presenting it in front of the judging committee – graphic presentation and study model)
40% - active presence in the discipline of Practical Activities (study model)
40% - the average obtained at the final handover
